Collector thougts
I've been thinking a LOT about my Monster High madness. And now I see thet being a collector is the hardest thing I've ever done!
First, the parents. They actually support me in this, but they don't get it. They are saying the same every time I go to buy a new doll: "You're too old for toys, come on, this is the last one. You don't want to waste all your money on them and in one year ask yourself why, because you'll stop liking them"
Okay, so first, being a collector is NOT playing with toys, though I have to admit I've played a few times insted of doing biology homework, but that's not the point! Lots of teenagers and even adults enjoy these dolls. The idea is collect them, but in YOUR way. For example, some collect all of the dolls. That's great, but as it sure costs a fortune, most choose the dolls they want to collect. There are people who want only the Power Ghouls or only the 13 Wishes stuff, others only one character, like Frankie. Actually, I started collecting only the werecats, but i couldn't resist, so now I choose the dolls I do want and the dolls I don't.
Second, I actually pay the dolls with my OWN pocket money I am given for doing chores. and when I ask my parents, it is only because it's my birthday, Christmas or any other festivity. And then, if I collect something, I know that in 10 years time I won't sell them all on e-bay. I am not that foolish! I'll NEVER stop liking them!
So, in this blog you'll find many entries similar to this one, about my latest dolls and my diffrent collector thoughts. What are you waiting for?
